    Web Based Tender Evaluation and Quotation Analysis System

    This study describes all the features and procedures that were followed to have a fully functional system. Further it naentions all the details of the project how it was developed, its primary requirements, as well as features and functionalities of the project and procedures ensured in achieving these objectives. Online tender and quotation evaluation forms the lifeline to procurement ofiticers and evaluaĆ¼on committee to have better handling and management of tenders and quotaĆ¼ons evaluation. Also is highly regarded as a powerful enterprise resource planning integration module which facilitates effectiveness and efficiency to their day-to-day activities. The system will help in speeding up the evaluation process of tenders and quotations and thus saving a lot of precious time and eliminate unnecessary overhead and workload from the paperwork. During data acquisition the researcher found that a lot of time is consumed and quotation evaluation process, poor records management, paperwork overhead, inadequate report generation, manual referencing of tender documents clear user specifications. This raised an immediate necessity to have a system to take care of the problems identified. The system was developed using web-based development life cycle (WDLC) which is based on waterfall methodology that is believed to be famous legacy development, thus making easier for refinement of every process needs to be completed before moving to the next step. with the effective use, any procurement department can apply the online tender and quotation evaluation system to speed up evaluation process, proper records management and getting better results in less time.
