    Abstract
    In the recent years the demand for university education in' Kenya has changed positively and increases annually according to the recent research. Graduates frorp secondary school and working classes personnel are enrolling to pursue higher educatication in the universities and colleges. Universities are accountable to the society to ensure that they offer their students quality teaching, research and community service. As more and more students are looking for vacancies in public universities, while the quality of education requires urgent scrutiny. This article gives the reports on data from a series of study to examine the perception of the quality of service provision at public an private universities and opportunities for high-quality higher education in Kenya. it has been found that public universities do not have the physical facilities to effectively serve the body of current students. The study recommends the need to enroll many students in double income and provide a good education and offer quality education require heavy investment in physical facilities, teaching and research resources, innovative information, communication technology and collaborations with the private sectors.
