    Abstract
The research in factors that influence adoption of upland technology in arrowroots was done in Makutano Ward, Trans Nzoia County. The aim of the research was to identify the importance of upland technology in production of arrowroots on the economy of Trans Nzoia County. There are many factors that influence adoption of upland technology in arrowroot production although the research only discussed a few i.e. how size of land under arrowroots, access to credit and farmer's level of education influence the adoption of upland technology in production of arrowroots. Questionnaires were distributed to smallholder farmers of Makutano Ward Trans Nzoia County to collect primary data. Secondary sources of data were used to find out what has already been researched on factors that influence technology adoption. Correlation method of data analysis was used to analyze the data collected.
