dc.description.abstractAbdi Zeila, a tutorial fellow at University of Embu, aged 35 years, is an environmental scientist with nine years’ experience in environment and development, specializing in climate change practice and policy, adaptation, mitigation, resilience and low carbon development; agriculture, and integrated soil fertility management. His specific expertise lies in community- and ecosystem-based climate change adaptation. His skills include project and programdevelopment, community-driven development, monitoring and evaluation ranging from small to large scale projects, and smallholder farmer development. Abdi is also a GIS/remote sensing expert with extensive knowledge of application of geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) software including ESRI ArcGIS, ArcView, PC Arc/Info, Geo-VIS, ErDAS Imagine and Idrisi; ArcGIS Server. He is experienced in spatial data planning and GIS project development, implementation and management at micro and macro levelsen_US
