The trend should reflect on the lives of the Kenyan and especially the Kanyasa residents, following the research by Omondi on the increase in cabbage production in this particular area and their rate of dependency on horticultural crops. The study, therefore, focused on the analysis of the selected input factors affecting cabbage profitability in Kanyasa ward, Migori County. This project contains the general objective and the specific objectives which were achieved at the end of the research. The reason for conducting the study, justification, hypothesis, scope, study area, limitation of the study, the theoretical and conceptual framework that gives the relationship between variables were also captured. The data for the study were sourced from the primary sources majorly, through structured questionnaires, with sampling design being random sampling and sample size of 30 cabbage farmers. Gross margin analysis was used to analyze the input cost and the output. Descriptive statistics were used to present the data. The study was done to provide information and alteration for increasing cabbage production and form a benchmark for further studies.enArticle
